Hello After I install the audio driver from Asus motherboard disk and update windows 8.1 OS, the device manager reports that the High Definition Audio Device is not working and showing the yellow sign. But when I try to update it, it shows that the latest driver is installed.

Motherboard: Asus Z87-A
Audio driver manufacture - Realtek.
But the faulty driver shows Manufacture - Microsoft.

I have screenshot but not sure about the way to post it here. Please help.

Note: Sound is working fine. No issues in performance. Just worried about the error reporting.

I have a very similar problem. Sound is working fine (mostly) but I have this exclamation mrk in Device Manager next to "High Definition Audio Device". Under the same tab I have "Realtek High Definition Audio" with no problems. I'm just wondering can this issue be the cause of audio lagging in some games? Is there a way to solve it? I already tried to uninstall and reinstall all audio drivers, automatically with windows and also from Acer website. Chipset driver is also up to date... any help would be appreciated!
