Device stopped working

I recently put together a new computer with Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 with F8 BIOS, I updated the BIOS to the newest one which is the F9 and after that windows started saying that a USB device stopped working. I uplug the only 2 USB devices i have installed and it still show it on the device manager as unknown device. I keep getting pop ups saying the USB device isnt working but there is nothing plugged into them.

Re-install the drivers for the motherboard. If you uninstall the unknown device, does it come back after a reboot? You can also try to find out what this may be by looking at it's PCI code, go to Properties of the device, Details tab, do a web search for the VEN_xxx&DEV_xxxx codes. That will at least get you some clues as to what this is.

I found out the problem, apparently the front USB ports were causing the problem. Both of the front USB ports are controlled by the same header and the of the two ports one stopped working awhile ago and so i unplugged them and the problem stopped.
