Trying to fix boot order but all my devices in Boot Device Priority are disabled. The text on the right in Boot Device Priority says "a device enclosed in parenthesis has been disabled in the corresponding type menu." All the devices look like this.

[IDE:TSTcorpCD/DVD]

Where is the type menu to change this so my drives aren't disabled. Is there an option. If not is there a way to reboot the bios to default settings to where this isn't a problem.

Have you checked the HDD and ODD boot priority menu? the boot device menu uses those selections as its reference, so you set the primary boot device in each respective menu and then finally the overall boot sequence in the boot device menu.

Have you tried AHCI for the SATA configuration?

Where is the hdd and odd boot menu? I only have a single boot menu and the dvd is set to boot before the hdd but it does not. It just says reboot or its sometimes just a blank screen.

It worked for many years. The hdd starter crapping out then died. Before it died I tried to reinstall Windows and it at least showed the windows setup screen. I bought a new hdd. The motherboard detects it. The dvd is detected. I changed it to AHCI alhready, made no difference. The dvd drive won't load I assume and it just ends up saying reboot... insert disk then press a key.

So unsure the issue. Might be the dvd drive isn't working properly.
