Hey guys,

Hoping someone can help me with this annoying issue...
Every devolo on my network has the latest firmware as of today.

I recently upgraded to fibre optic broadband and the download speed at my router is about 60 mbps. The Wifi from my router also shows approximately 60 mbps. But, at each end of my house I have dLAN 500 Wifi’s as the routers signal won't reach there. They are connected to the router by an AVmini 500. The Wireless from each of my dLAN 500 WiFi’s is only about 20 mbps, but the Ethernet port on the bottom of each dLAN 500 WiFi provides about 60 mbps. I have no idea why it is transferring at 20 mbps over the wireless on the adaptor, I have tried basic troubleshooting, but ran out of ideas.

Thanks in advance,

The ratings are established using ideal circumstances - seldom real world.

No intervening power strips, UPS's, surge protectors anywhere?

May be just a function of your electrical circuits and wiring.

Work with as simple of a setup as you can. If you can get to acceptable performance levels then start expanding as methodically as possible.

Some threshold configuration may initiate the bottleneck and drop in speed.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I initially thought that this may have been down simply to the limitations of wireless; but looking at the specs of the device, I can't really figure out what is causing it to be slow.
The wireless from my router itself, at the other side of my house is perfect. Almost exactly the same speed as wired.
The devolo powerline adaptor is rated to transmit data over wireless at 150 mbps.

Also, before I upgraded to fibre, I had a download speed of about 16 mbps, and an upload of 2 mbps. There were no issues with this. I got the full speed on both over the wireless. Now I have 60 down and 20 up. Through the devolo I get 20 down and 20 up (approx).
