DFI LanParty socket 939 problem

This question is for a friend that has an amd 64 3200 venice paired with a DFI LanParty Ultra Nforce4 mobo. He was sitting in front of his computer, it restarted randomly, powered back on and stalled with all the fans running max. The cpu was overclocked, but had run cool and stable up until today. The diagnostic leds say that the mobo is not recognizing the cpu. He's tried taking ram out, his x850xt, even taking the cpu out and remounting it. Anyone have similar issues? Use the cmos jumper to reset the bios. You might also try a different power supply.

I agree with o1die on using the cmos jumper. I had the same issue with an Asus board and a 939 socket cpu. I ended up having to RMA the board and when I got it back the board was bad so needless to say I bought a new board.

He tried the cmos jumper to no avail. I'll have him try a different power supply tomorrow to see if that fixes the problem.
