Hey guys! I have been throwing together some LGA 775 builds for my nephews and have run into a problem.

I bought this little build with a dg965ry mobo (RIP) and a GT 9600 with 4 gb of ram and a 410W power supply. It's running windows 10, i threw a q6600 in it and it runs fine

Here's what I've done:
1. Run the monitor through the gt9600 that came with it (works)

2. Run the monitor through the Motherboard (works)

the problem is when I try one of my other two graphics cards they spin up and seem to be working but won't display at all. I've tested that they work fine on other rigs. The 2 cards are a r9 270 and an r7 240

I have reset the CMOS (I think)

Uninstalled the NVIDIA drivers

it just won't detect the either of the new GPUs. Should I disable the onboard video?

Check for an updated BIOS for the system. What is the brand and model of the power supply? The 240 should run on almost any power supply, the 270 would need a decent quality one. Onboard video should be automatically disabled when you plug in the video cards as shown by the fact that the 9600 works.
