Router Advertisement settings have been changed on the network adapter 15. The current M - Managed Address Configuration flag is false and the O - Other Stateful Configuration flag is false. User Action: If you are seeing this event frequently, then it could be due to frequent change in M and O flag settings on the router in the network. Please contact your network administrator to have it resolved
I have this which is part of Event viewer error and want to know is this a problem with the router or what? There multiple entries for this error. This is home connection so I am not sure what network it pertains to.

Solution
IPv4 and IPv6 are IP addressing protocols versus speed standards.

More likely the initial issue was configuration rather than the router speed per se.

Some configuration setting or conflict that originally caused the problem.

With the new router either the configuration setting was corrected or some conflict rendered moot.

Verizon is my ISP and the router is an Actiontec M1424WR
As far as the ISP providing IPv6 my Network connections does not seem to show that it does. I guess I should try and find out from my ISP if there any IPv6 available. So your saying it might be that the router set for IPv6 when there is none available? In that case I would look at the router settings to check for what you said. <Keywords>0x8000000000000000</Keywords> Is the error code you are referring to? I do not seem to see any thing
that specifies "error code". It seems this may not be an actual error but something that is being recorded by the Event Viewer.

Do not believe that that is an error code per se. Has to do with the creation of/establishment of system times.

Did Verizon provide you any documentation or instructions with respect to the router's configuration?

Does the following link correctly identify the User Manual for your router? If so, the specifications on Page 165 indicate support only for IPv4.

If I have identified the correct manual, log into the router per the "Configuring the Router" instructions provided on pages 10-11. Page 12 will allow you to check and set the date and time.

For the part just look about and be careful not to accidently change anything.

However, if the date and times are off, reset them and see if the Client Error disappears.

Then, if you have not already done so, uncheck IPv6 support on your network adapter card.

Barring, of course, any instructions via Verizon to do otherwise. If so, then please post accordingly.

Thanks for your help with my question which now is not an issue because I just upgraded my router to a Quantum Gateway and now a have IPv6 instead of IPv4. I have not checked the Event Viewer to see what it shows now. I think it is just because of the router speed possibly?
