Diablo 3 optimized for quad cores?

Is Diablo 3 optimized for quad-core CPU's?

The physics engine is complex and demanding, so using as much CPU resources as possible would dramatically improve performance.

Its not THAT computer intensive. It doesn't need to be optimized for four cores.
