Diagnosing water damage from a coffee spill, computer ran fine after the isopropyl alcohol bath, but it only dried for 8 hours and crashed after 20 minutes.
Tower PC boots and runs but keyboard mouse and monitor don't work. No beeping, caps lock doesn't light up. Motherboard lights show 8 CPU power levels and the PCI slot working light.
Power supply works on different hardware, working graphics cards don't fix the problem, reset CMOS, tried without hard drive, used working RAM and changed slots.
I figure that either CPU or motherboard could have nooks where undried liquid could damage the hardware. I just wouldn't want to buy a replacement and be wrong
