Please please can someone help me with my problem. my laptop isn't even a year old and I'm having this maddening issue that driving me insane
The laptop had switched itself off and when I restarted it it went into a loop of
Diagnosing your PC > Preparing automatic repair > Attempting repair > Diagnosing..
and just keeps going round and round and never boots to another screen.
I dont have any recovery disks and the laptop didnt come with any disks at all,
I cannot do a system restore because for some reason there aren't set (even though I had the option turned on),
I cannot even enter safe mode because after the restart the 1st the PC does is 'diagnosing your pc'.
I ran the memory and hard drive tests and passed them all, so no hardware issues there.
I realy don't want to loose any of the data on the hard drive if possible, I have photo's and documents that are irreplaceable. Apparently this is a common problem of windows 8 but I haven't read anything helpful online of people not being able to use safe mode!!
