Hello there. I was looking through my motherboard manual and noticed my board supports a TPM module... I thought that sounded kinda cool after researching what they are.

I started to see some other interesting things... they looked like M.2 cards that had LCD screens on them!
Im having trouble figuring out what to ask the google gods for, but is there such a thing that hooks up to a TPM module header, or somewhere else on a modern motherboard, that gives you a display of your CPU temp? Or anything like that?
I always thought those intel boards that come with this debug displays were awesome... I would love to have that! Thanks.

I was referring to TPM. It has to do with a encryption module for security.

Ahh, sorry, I must have misread...

I don't know of anything like that but I would also be interested to know the answer.

ah shoot... I saw a couple on the Egg that looked like you could slide them into your M.2 slot, and had a LCD display. And a couple that hooked into your expansion slots... I am surprised no one has made anything like this... would be sweet.

Would be certainly be cool to have something like real-time voltage monitoring or other diagnostics that don't rely on software / OS support and don't require electrical engineering skills to pull-off.

What are you gonna do for $5

Pretty sketchy either way. Let the fault components show your hands.

I wasn't going to use that one lol. I was just speaking in terms of this is the style of device I am looking for. I want a temp readout that I see when looking at my glass case is all... that was just an example.

I know, lol, it's a cool idea

😀

There are some cool front panel fan controllers that have temp readouts
