Diamond 4870 w/ sapphire vapor x

Just a quick question. On the Diamond 4870 1gig card it says mem clock speed is 900mhz (1800mhz effective) and the vapor x says 900mhz (3.6 Gbps) are they the same thing? I'm confused about the 1800mhz effective because i haven't seen that advertised on other cards. I'm going to run crossfire with one of each card so i want to be sure that they are exactly speed wise.

yeah they're the same. mhz is frequency, multiply it by two for the effective frequency because its DDR[double data rate] and Gbps is the bandwidth. You should be good

oh and fyi, make sure you have the same amount of ram on both cards, or you'll just be throwing your money away

yeah they are both 1gig versions
with a corsair 850w psu to power them which i just got so i hope its enough lol but im sure it will be...only have 1 hdd so not much power consumption there
