Been playing Dragon Age 2 lately and I've noticed that while I'm playing one day my 6850 will be running at a constant 70c or so and then like today its running like 90c! What should my normal temperature be? Been using MSi Afterburner for monitoring the temp and tweaking the fan speed to better cool my card off. I just wanna hear what you guys have to say. And if you need more details please ask me politely! This is my first time posting here so thanks for the help!

Hey

I'd start to be concerned if the graphics card hit 90C+

I'd recommend making sure your case has good airflow, isn't dusty and has good cable management, you may also want to consider a custom fan profile with MSI Afterburner to make sure it doesn't reach 90C regularly.

it has hit 90+ before but most of the time it stays between 70-90.
And my tower is still the same old stock Gateway tower so I could say that's part of the problem. Only thing that bugs me is if I can transplant my hardware into a new bigger tower with little to no problems as the only thing not stock in my current setup is the hd 6850. And have a custom fan profile but it still reaches the 90 mark so what I'm thinking is the airflow is lacking within my current tower.

Yeah I think your right, either clean out your current case and buys some good fans, or even better, buy a case with good airflow.

Yeah the components in your current system are fairly standard ATX size so moving them to another PC will be easy, Below are a few suggestions of quality cases with good airflow, I don't know your budget or where you live but here goes:

Been around for awhile now, quality case with excellent airflow and not too expensive: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-212-CM&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=29

Great case if your on a tight budget: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-101-AN&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=160

Yea I live in the California and have a stable job lol.

That Corsair Graphite 600t looks amazing and has great reviews behind it! I might just get it if I don't find anything else like it!
