Did a Zeon L3110 works on any LGA775 motherboard?

Hi guys,

Did a Zeon L3110 works on any LGA775 motherboard or need a separate server motherboard,I have a p5kpl am ps mobo,Does it work on this mobo?,Is there any perfomance difference between L3110 and E8400?

Check the CPU list for your motherboard at Asus. If the Xeon L3110 isn't on that list, then you'll be on your own. Performance should be the same as the E8400.

Then why we dont use e8400 insted of a server processorl ike this?

Because an L3110 is a low power CPU (45W) and the E8400 draws more power (65W). If you have thousands in a server room, that makes a difference.

Yes, but that one is a better binned E8400 and it costs about the same or sometimes even less. Your original post was about the L3110, not the E3110.
