Did Factory Image reset, stuck on dell black loading screen

It just shows the dell loading screen over and over again, when i hit f12 it brings up the boot menu but i cant hit f8, it does nothing. i downloaded a windows 7 os onto my flash drive but when i try to boot from that it just goes back to the dell screen again and again. please help, was trying to clear to give away as a christmas gift!

Are you able to get into your BIOS settings?

You need to change your BIOS settings to boot from USB Flash drive.

i did that and its still not working.. im thinking maybe i got a bad copy of the os software.. dell wants $129 for a new copy even though i have my key though and im not about to pay that just because i lost mine
any idea where i can get a copy to download online?

i also have a copy of windows xp os software... and when i use that cd it works.

They are plenty of sites around, that give a copy.

But it's not allowed to be discussed here to be honest, so no go.
