Did GTX650 work with 2nd gen cpu's?

I am going to buy a 2nd gen i3 cpu with motherboard which supports pcie 2.0 and 3.0.All other requirement for gtx650 1gb are sloved, like psu.Can i run GTX650 1GB vga card with an i3 2nd gen cpu?

Sorry,I have a another one. The motherboard manufactures says PCIE 3.0 speed only supported by 3rd gen CPU,s.GTX650 requited PCIE 3.0.So I am going to install a 2nd gen CPU. How it will work?

You just have to make sure the CPU and motherboard socket is the same. So if the motherboard has socket LGA 1150, you find a CPU
with socket LGA 1150 too.

The motherboard has a LGA1155 socket and I am going to install LGA1155 too. Also I contacted th nVidia customer care.They also said it will work. So thank you.
