Hey guys, so i was building a pc and i guess i bent some pins on my mobo cpu slot while inserting the cpu and i think i burned the cpu can some1 please confirm? Here are some pics of CPU and Motherboard.
That's a nasty one, you definitely shorted out both the board and CPU and may well have fried both. You won't know if the CPU is fried unless you try it in another mobo ( risk of damaging that too ) or straightening the pins on your mobo ( might be fried and may damage your CPU if it has survived) but it's your call try fixing it( personally I would try fixing it as you haven't really got anything to lose) or buying a new CPU and mobo.

Looks like you have....It is possible to try to straighten out the pins on the motherboard and clean the cpu...but to be honest, it looks like the CPU and mobo are done....Sorry.
Next board and CPU, might consider simply paying a computer shop $20 to mount it for you, given risking this rather expensive alternative...
(Did something fall into the socket before placing the cpu? )
HeHe i can replace a cpu i did it many times, i made a mistake when doung a quick check of the cpu and i guess i wasnt paying attention as i should..Thats what i get though
