i'm very worried i have bought the wrong gear?

Current setup:

Monitor 1 DVI to DVI.
Monior 2 HDMI to HDMI
Monitor 3 (doesnt have DP inputs) so instead i bought this : I have bought this : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-6FT-1-8M-Mini-Displayport-DP-Male-to-HDMI-Male-Adapter-Converter-Cable-pc-/370541125831?pt=UK_Computing_Other_Computing_Networking&hash=item5645f8e0c7 to run from a mini DP to the HDMI input.

i'm now worried that i need something called an active DP adaptor ?

my monitors only suppot HDMI, DVI & VGA. (NO DP!)

can someone help me out with the answer as i dont want to have my 3rd monitor arrive thursday and try this cable for it not to work.

i plan on playing games @ 5760 x 1080. HEEELP!

YOU NEED AN ACTIVE, IT IS A MUST. only the 290x can do without it

most stores tell you'll be fine with your first cable becase they dont know about that u have to have an active for eyefinity, they think u are going to use it for 2 screens or something like that
