Did I damage my computer?

I was playing planet side 2, which really pushes my system. I took off my headphones and the fans were really loud. Then I saw I had a magazine over my case fan. I took it off and the air coming out was really hot. Is it possible I damaged it or would it have rebooted if it got too hot?

It'll shut down before it gets too hot.

You should be safe, it would have crashed or BSOD if you overheated.

if it gets too hot it will throttle it self for instance Ivy bridge will throttle around 100C something and if it gose above 105C it will shut down

Hi,
to answer, I'd need answers to the following questions ;
-Was the magazine blocking the read PSU exit Fan only ?
-Does your PC have other case fans ? Like on the side or the top of the case.
-How long did you game while the magazine was there ?

PS: To assess current situation, I would go in the Bios to see the CPU's and videocard's registered temperature. You could also use the small application "CPU-Z" that could also display the temperature.

I have one fan in the back, and one on the top. The top was what the magazine blocked. I think I played for about a hour. That was yesterday so I can't get the temperature.
