Question Did i damage my GPU by not plugging the PCI-E power cable?

Hello

I just changed my whole build and when turning the PC on i forgot to put the PCI-E power cable

My gpu started running the fans at full speed

Then later i´ve placed everything correctly and it was ok

But could this damage the gpu or the motherboard?
