Did I do something stupid with my CPU fan?

When I opened the box I placed it thermal side on couch as I as looking for thermal paste in a tube not expecting it on the fan. Did it rub off or is it still there? I have no idea what to look for or what the pad looks like.

Is that the heatsink after you put it on the couch?
If so the paste is completely untouched, that picture is exactly what it should look like.
