Did I do the 7970 Ghz justice?

I had the Saphire 7970vaporX GHz edition for about a week now. I seemed to have a totally different experience than what I was expecting. First I thought I broke the card with fur mark and trying to overclock to a limit that was clearly over board 1200/1700. Then I was playing Sim City and started seeing artifacts and it was weird because it only happened the following morning at the exact same time. So every morning I had to restart my PC to make the artifacts go away, but I really think it was the overclocking getting to much by the morning after a night of gaming. The second thing that I thought was really off was the fact the card would play crysis3 without flinching at max. But then I turn around and try to play Borderlands 2 at max and my FPS dropped to as low as 18FPS. I went to 3 towns and the frames where still high and low regardless. Its packed and ready to be sent back for an RMA but I'm still thinking did I do something wrong. I was wondering was I suppose to delete all my Nvidia drivers when I had the 7970 hooked up cause I didn't do that. It did have coil whine but nothing I thought was like crazy. Before I send it out is there anything I should try, the only real thing that bothered me was the artifacts and the low frames on a game like Borderlands 2.

Yes, YOU REALLY HAD TO DO THAT.
And need the latest AMD drivers (Cat 13.1), not just the ones of the disk.

I doubt you damaged it unless you pushed voltage a lot.

sim city has artifacts if you have not got the newest beta drivers installed that would also explain your bad frames you have to understand the graphics cards don't work with out the newest graphic drivers out you have to always update your drivers to get the best frames and best gaming you can out of a game

Grammar and punctuation are two different things. Also, for Novuake, "It's". And finally, the low FPS in Borderlands 2 could be caused by having PhysX turned up too high. Nvidia doesn't allow it to run on AMD GPUs so it gets offloaded to your CPU, which is not powerful enough to handle to high a setting.

You're not being helpful, and holding up Facebook, YouTube, and gaming article comments as standards for communication in a technical forum, where people are volunteering their time to help others and people NEED to be clear to get and give good answers, is just sad.

This is entirely beside the point, but any "hacker" that would be upset, juvenile, and vindictive over a helpful comment doesn't have the knowledge to do anything really harmful.

Any "hacker" who could be harmful knows how to communicate and has a least a basic understanding of language from reading.
