Question did i fry my gpu or pcie cable

tried sligt overclocking on msi afterburner and benchmarking on furmark but it suddenly went black and whenever i open games it blackscreen but fan is still spinning then the gpu wont work anymore
it doesnt start up the fans flick for half a sec sometimes the pc boots up when i remove the pcie cable from the gpu
im using an r9 280x

Did you reset the afterburner app from the oc?

ive uninstall it but press the no in the save something when you try to uninstall the afterburner

Try uninstalling your gpu drivers and then reinstall newest drivers.

Might be worth you contacting the card makers for best way to oc your card.
I have a gtx 1080 and found a program on the driver disc for overclocking but as i had never done oc before i wrote to zotac , the maker of my version of the card , the individual who replied questioned why the program was even on the disc , he went on to say my card has the ability to do the equivalent of oc itself under load , maybe other cards can do this without users knowing.
