Hi,

i built my computer yesterday, and i forgot to put the standoffs.I fully built it,and when i was done, and i booted it,the cpu fan spun for 1 second before stopping.I was using the N300 case with the MSI H97 Gaming 3 mobo. However,i didn't hear any crackling noise or any noise at all from the mobo, and now i sent it over to the manufacturer to build the pc for me.I'm really worried i fried my mobo and i would have to pay for a new one. Please help

oh god.
But the rear I/O shield DID line up,even perfectly.
I tried to install the standoffs, but the motherboard wouldn't align with the standoffs.
I looked online and some people told me that the standoffs aren't important.I was so dumb.
But i didn't hear any noise from the mobo, and when i booted the computer the cpu fan spun for 1 sec and then it stopped

It might short without a standoff but then you would see black burnt area at some pins. may be hard to detect on a black themed board. Well you have sent it already, MSI is a good company for RMAs , they might replace it for free.

I sent it to the store i got the board from, not MSI.
And i'm from lebanon, so i doubt MSI would send me one.
My parents are gonna kill me.
I'm gonna pray to gaben that nothing went bad.
