Just picked up an r9 290x from my local free geek and it runs great! I paid 150 for it however. Was this a good deal?

I looked it up and it says the rx 580 and the r9 290x perform similarly. I play at 1080p so i don't think i need the extra 8gb of vram

Agree, the 580 runs cooler, uses less power and has a warranty. Sorry but that’s a bad deal.
