Pretty hard to know the problem until we know what you have...I got a PC with MSI Z590-A PRO. I can't plug in the LAN cable. Should I push harder or is there a special LAN cable I've been sleeping on?
What specific LAN cable did you buy or are trying to install?Would you please tell me what relevant information I have left out? I apologize, but I thought it would be enough to provide the mobo model. Also, I am unaware of special LAN cables.
Unless the plug is broken, or the port on the motherboard is broken...it should fit.The label says "Patch cable Cat5e". They gave me this at the store when I asked for a LAN cable. I was able to plug it into my modem easily.
I tried that, same issue. Also with another LAN cable I have. One end fits in the router?
Swap it around. Does that end fit in the PC?
Take it back and make them fix it.The shop did. I took it home in a taxi.
Take it back and make them fix it.
All those things should be centered in the various openings.
Something may indeed short out.If this is the only problem I will have because of this, I'm thinking of getting a USB to LAN adapter. Are there other reasons to insist on centering the ports?
The reason is irrelevant.Maybe it's because of the big cooler (Dark Rock Pro 4).
I will contact them ASAP.
And do NOT say to them..."I think it is because..."Maybe it's because of the big cooler (Dark Rock Pro 4).

And do NOT say to them..."I think it is because..."
Instead, you say..."This is wrong/off center/I can't connect the ethernet cable, fix it"
Without knowing why it is bowed...all I might say is "Maybe".Do you think it's safe to use now?
