I think I "bricked" my brand new Samsung XP941 M.2 PCI-e SSD.
While secure erasing my system drive(s) with Parted Magic, I (accidently) also secure erased the new drive. It took 32 minutes to secure erase the brand new drive, then froze at the end. PM wouldn't close the program, and I couldn't log off/shut down. I had to reset the PC with the power button. (That's probably where the problem started!)
Now, my BIOS doesn't see the drive, neither in the M.2 slot or the PCI-e bracket (it does see my Plextor M6e PCI-e SSD either way). Hence, PM doesn't see it.
Once again, all was good before I secure erased, now it's dead. Plextor drive is fine.
It took less than 1 minute to SE my Plextor M6e 256GB PCI-e SSD in the PCI-e bracket.
But it took over 32 minutes for the Samsung XP941 in the M.2 slot!
Help! 🙁
