Question Did I just ruin my warranty before RMA?

So I have a faulty RTX 2070 from Gigabyte. The GPU is artifacting, PC freezing on windows load, etc.

Today I filed for an RMA and I prepped the card for return.
The 8pin connector was very stiff and when I tried to loosen up the pins, I broke the plastic around them.

This damage clearly done by me, but it's not the cause of the artifact issue. I tested it and the GPU boots up just as before.

Did I just messed up my warranty with this?

Thank

That is a broken part that YOU did.

While it may not impact the original theoretical fault, they can deny due to this.

But....you have nothing to lose by trying.
If they say No, oh well...no replacement for you.

If you did not try the RMA, no replacement for you.

Yeah, it's just the $60 for the FedEx shipping, Gigabyte recommended.
I guess it's still worth a try.
