Question Did I kill my GPU?

So I accidentally touched the PCI-E 16X connector of my new GPU, (with my fingers) and not thinking, I rubbed it lightly with my shirt to get any oil off. I then remembered static electricity exists, so now I'm worried I might have killed my brand new GPU. To add insult to injury, i was standing on carpet when this happened, and i was 100% not grounded. Anyway, did I just ruin my GPU? Don't know if this is relevant, but the GPU in question is a Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT.

...Have you tried to use the GPU?

While static can damage components, they're not as delicate as you might think. You should be fine, but the only way to know would be the check.

Did you pop it in and see if it works ? Where you live are you in a dry season ?

I won't be able to use it for a while because I'm still waiting on the motherboard to show up in the mail. No, I did not feel any electricity, and no, I live in a pretty humid environment.
