hi

i have a dell inspiron 15 gaming 5576 laptop, the laptop has no sound, i tried every option to get the sound back on, installing new drivers, trying all software options

i gave up and tried to replace the speakers, i watched a youtube video to find out how to disassemble the laptop, i did so but being an idiot having parts everywhere the speaker and subwoofer touched the motherboard and stuck to it, long story short i put the laptop back together, the laptop is getting power but the screen isn't turning on

did i screw up my motherboard i.e magnets in the speakers or subwoofer killed the motherboard? could I have missed a connector? i don't think i removed anything that runs screen to the motherboard

should i give up at this point?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Chances are your speakers weren't at fault. Perhaps your OS was corrupt and the drivers weren't taking effect. Reinstalling it would probably solve the issue.

You might want to see if you've plugged everything as they should, including the connector for the display on the laptop. Disconnecting the battery is a good first step before you disconnect anything else on the laptop during the disassembly process.

You should be fine.
