Hi I am using a

7)320GB Internal HDD 7200RPM of WD Caviar Blue.
8)LG Optical Drive.

So what i really wanted to know is, did I choose the right PSU for the above make. I was using corsair VS 450 for the above and it didn't go well, i had to replace it in few days. Any help will be appreciated. Also suggest me which PSU should I look for next time, if i hit any issue. My Range is 4-5K.

The Antec VPxxx-P series PSU's are a tier three PSU, okay for average builds which yours is. I can find no other brands on Amazon or ITDepot that are better choices at that price range. About the only thing is that you really didn't need the 650W model, a 450W is likely enough.

The Antec VPxxx-P series PSU's are a tier three PSU, okay for average builds which yours is. I can find no other brands on Amazon or ITDepot that are better choices at that price range. About the only thing is that you really didn't need the 650W model, a 450W is likely enough.

Thanks for the reply, but why did the corsair VS 450 gave up on my system?..Is it due to fault or something else??

The VS series is tier 4 and is very low quality. I can't say why it failed but it is not surprising that a low quality supply failed. Warranty?

yes i already got it replaced with the antec one..

so should i take it as antec VP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>corsair VS.....what about the other corsair series are they all the same?

No, you have to take each model line individually. There are plenty of Corsair model lines which are far superior to the Antec VP series.
