Question Did i mess up my motherboard?

I just upgraded my pc by adding a amd ryzen 5 2600x and upgraded my graphics card to ASUS ROG-STRIX-RX580-T8G-GAM 8 GB Graphics Card and then tried booting up my PC but none of the ports seem to be working. I cannot even get a disply by using the hdmi from my motherboard which is a gigabyte ab350 gaming 3. So i cannot check bios or anything. i dont really want to have to buy a new motherboard but does that sound like the issue?

gigabyte ab350 gaming 3 needs BIOS update to run the amd ryzen 5 2600x.

Connecting an HDMI cable to the motherboard will not give any display if your processor has no graphics.

What happens if you plug the monitor into the RX 580 like normal?

ahhh so how do i do a bios update? do i need to reconnect my ryzen 3 2400g ?
