[SOLVED] Did i mess up ordering GPU ?

Hi guys, I might have messed up ordering new GPU's for me and my wife. Normally i pay a shop to do any modifications but figured i'd give it a try.
So i ordered a nvidia 3070 ti for us, our PSU can handle 750W so it should be fine, BUT when i read the specs of the card i just ordered it say i requires 2 8-pin.

Looking at our current setups the cable going to the GPU a single 8-pin with an additional 6-pin connected to it. I'm an absolute novice at this, have i messed up ?

What brand model is your power supply.

If you don't have the connectors I would advise to upgrade your power supply to something like a Corsair RM850x that is known to be able to handle the power spikes of the 3xxx cards and also have the correct connectors.

That model has one 8 pin and three 6 pin plugs. Be aware that shop might offer to just use 2x6 pin to 8 pin adapter to power your new card instead of new PSU. That option is not recommended.

alright, too late to cancel the order as well. Thanks for your help guys, guess i'll have to change the PSU.

That is about a decade old PSU with 645watts available on the +12 volts so in modern terms it is = 650watt unit at best. I would not trust for a 3070Ti. Upgrade would be in order.
