Did I mess up while cleaning my keyboard?

I was taking off the keycaps of my razer black widow chroma and I can't get the the + key back on? Did I mess up?

I feel like it's something to do with the metal rod.

Nevermind, I just accidentally slammed my hand on the keyboard and it started working perfectly again
