So I have been concerned about the temps on my 2600x. Tonight while I was playing Battletech it seemed to run fine. It would peak at 60c and then come down to the 50's. After I logged out of the game though it stayed rather high and would not cool down. It was idling between the mid 40s and lower 50s. This concerned me so I though I would see if I should reapply the thermal paste. I cleaned the paste off my cooler (Evo 212) and processor. I reapplied the paste. Now things seem to be worse. Instead of idling in the mid 30s and spiking to the 40s, it ranges from the 40s to 50s. I think the airflow of the case is good. I have three 120mm fans handling intake. I then have two 120s at the top and one at the rear for exhaust. I have included the pc part picker list for reference. I would appreciate any help.
