Please keep it to 1 thread.
Hello. I upgraded to a 7800x3d and a Rog Strix x670e-e gaming wifi about three weeks ago.
I only today saw video about the 7800x3d and mobos like mine burning up last year. I checked my bios and it was 1303, which is supposedly, according to the patch notes the one that introduces a voltage fix, but the notes for the next two bioses said that on the site, so I didnt want to take chances that the fix had been changed with tiem and just went for the 2007 latest bios. I downloaded it, put it ona fat32 drive, went to the bios, opened EZFLASH navigated to the bios file and clicked ok after checking that it said the correct bios name... and my pc shut off. It rebooted .and then opened the bios and stared the update, but every video said it would start immediately, not shut off and boot into the bios then start
After that it said Update successful. I clicked ok. It powered off again. Came back to text that said 'bios updating dont shutoff'.
I waited.
Then powered off again, this time came text saying 'bios is updating LED firmware'
I waited. Then American Megatrends Press F1
I did went to bios, set the DOCP back on for my 5200 4x16 Corsair rams and booted in.
My questions are:
Are the shutdowns especially after clicking OK and begginig the process normal even though they were not on any video? So is the bios fine?
My cpu ran on 1303 for three weeks. Was 1303 safe anyways or should I worry about the weeks it ran like that?
Thanks!

Reboot after BIOS update is normal.

BIOS 1303 has safe voltage limitations already implemented.
It should not have caused any damage.

It wasnt after update. The moment i clicked ok to start it rebooted too. Which no instructiosn mentioned. was that ok? 1303 had them but according to the list the next non beta bios got this. 'Memory QVL amended to account for AMD 1.3V SoC voltage limit'. which mine didnt have, is this important or was 1303 fine without it? Sorry for double checking im scared. Thank you, i hope you read this post as well
