Did I Upgrade it or Downgrade it?

My laptop has 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz
I added to it a 2GB DDR3 1333 MHz
(Since I had a spare stick and an empty slot in my laptop)
Now my RAM reads 6GB but the speed reads 1333 MHz. Did I gain an upgrade or a downgrade?
