Hello, i wanna ask a simply question, i recently gave my friend my pc for 3 days to play some games and he decided to test out some other cpu on motherboard, and when he returned me my gold freaking pc, pc didnt want to show a picture, ofc i opened a case and carefully removed the cpu, saw 5 broken pins, normally i freaked out and started to yell, the mbo was already dead, but i was praying to god for cpu life. Then, i saw one yelow(i guess fried) chip on cpu, just one. I guees its dead? Cannot be repaired? It all happend today. Now if its reallg dead i have to buy a new pc. My friend is no more my friend hi lied to me. Its i7 7700K.

Solution
first off he probobly put a unsupported cpu in the wrong socket and forced it and broke the pins and probobly shorted it too. never lend something to someone unless they know what they are doing you can try to rma it but it will most likley not be covered by the waranty because it will be considered as physical damage.

asus rma link https://cms-am.asus.com/ecp/Rma.html for us and canada
msi rma link https://service.msicomputer.com/msi_user/support/rma_form.aspx
