Did my 980 cook itself?

Hey, I was smashing a game of Fortnite and fell asleep - waking up to a black screen. I tried rebooting but got the "no cable connected" type deal. The fans begin to spin lightly, then stop.
My PC is not detecting card at all. Not displayed in device manager.

I tried mobos integrated graphics > works fine... and I used my old GTX 580 > works fine.

Is my GTX 980 toast? I've had this card since late 2014.

Solution
I've had the same thing happen twice over the years.
Both times the card was fine and it turned out to be m/board & psu problems.
Try swapping out the stuff if you can.

yeah, I think you should check if PSU did not die trying to feed the monster. That card is powerful enough to fry cheap 500W units.

It's an Antec 850w, bought it 2011-2012. I thought it would be sufficient enough?

Well 850w is enough for SLI 980 ... Can you change power cables feeding the card ? does old one smell like burned plastic ?
