Hey people of the Internet, just had a little question for ya"ll. I bought a DIYPC case (gamemax-w) and when i installed it it started smoking. I took the pc apart and tried to turn it on only with my ssd (which is a boot drive and i have a 2 tb hdd for storage) which used to work before but now it doesnt work. The weird thing is that if i connect my hdd everything works fine but if i dont it doesn't load windows and it tells me to insert the media drive and press a key (but windows is on the ssd) moreover the same thing happened to 2 people with the same case sooo...any ideas? Do ya think i should replace my ssd?

Did you forget to put the gold colored standoff into the motherbd tray before mounting your motherbd? or maybe make sure there wasnt an extra one that didnt have a matching hole on the motherbd?

Thats the only thing I can think of that might cause an issue. Lots of people buy this case with no problems and it doesnt come with a power supply so it couldnt be that.

Na man, everything was set up correctly. Something i forgot to mention is that the fan was what burned and all the smoke was coming from that fan (on top of the case) but what i find weird is that if you read the reviews on newegg you will find that im not the only person that it happened to.
