I got this motherboard probably a year ago at a local pc shop(z75 pro3), had to initially replace it due to my previous mb dying. I painted this last weekend and had to move my tower away from the wall, so i simply unplugged the surge protector (didn't shut down pc first). Then moved it off the computer desk so I could move the desk more easily. Other than that it didn't get moved at all, but now it seems I have no power to the computer anymore.

I initially thought my psu died, since it's a few years old but when I went out to get a new one at the pc shop, the pc still wouldn't turn on. I'm thinking it's the mb(AGAIN?!??!?!?!??)

What are the chances that it died again? Why does my motherboard keep dying? I haven't even mistreated my tower, i simply moved it.

Wow, you are either really really unlucky, or you have a defective surge protector which damaged your PC as you unplugged it when it was running........
IMHO surge protectors are at best a complete waste of money, so I suggest you just plug your PC into an outlet.

As for your new power supply - are you sure you plugged everything into the mobo - I forgot the 12V connector behind the CPU cooler once..............

Try diagnosing your hardware, taking out ram sticks, taking out the gpu, anything to do with a basic diagnose. If nothing works, then my best bet would be the fact you unplugged it without turning your pc off.

I have checked the connections, I believe the only 2 connectors to the motherboard you need are the 12v power and the long 18(/?) pronger?

I have a Corsair 750w PSU, it's a few years old which is what i assumed died instead of the possible mb.

I will have to try and breadboard the mb tonight to see if i can get it to work

Sometimes if you have a flaky power supply, it could fry your motherboard too. I've had one of my power supply killed off 2 of my motherboards. So if it is a few years old, it might be good idea to replace it if you suspect something.
