Hello there, last week I gave a friend my old gaming pc. Since it only has 6GB ram, his parents bought him some new ram, he put them in. And the pc will not boot up. We have taken out the cmos battery and put it back in, and we have put in the old ram again. When I removed 2 out of the 3 ram cartridges from their slots. The pc would still not turn on. But the fans CPU fans and Videocard Fans are on. What should I do? I’m heading over to my friends house in a few hours to take a look

Hi there

When you out the cmos battery the settings are lost in the bios. Access the bios but pressing a key once it prompts you on screen. Reset the bios to default settings. If The cmos battery is old replace with new than reset the bios.
