Did pcie 16x (@x4 mode) will slow down my primary pcie 16x (@16x mode) ?

hello guys , my new gtx 1070 HOF just arrived today and it's 3 slot!! , my mobo is Z77M-D3H , because the lan on my mobo is broken , i use ethernet card on pci slot , but my new 1070 eating my pcie 1x and pci slot , and only my 16x (@x4 mode) is available. my question is.. if i buy this and installing it on my pcie 16x (@x4 mode) , will it effect my 1070 (on primary 16x) performance or not? or it's just physically 16x but it's actually pcie 4x so it will not effect my 1070 performance? , any help will be appreciated

Utilizing the x4 for your lan card should not impact the performance of the single x16 slot for your GPU, no.

You should see the full x16 for the GPU.

Also not, if you're still running a SandyBridge era chip, the x16 is PCIe Gen 2.0, not 3.0.

Agreed. Installing a PCI-Ex1 Network card into the PCI-Ex16 (x4) slot will not impact your graphic card performance.
