[SOLVED] Did the 1st gen Core i7-9xx Extreme Edition CPUs have an unlocked multi?

Can't remember and get confused with the "X" series from that gen. Searched, but found conflicting results and dead web pages.

Just tried it with a i7-950 and an Asus P6T motherboard. NOT unlocked.

I think only the Extreme Edition chips from that era had unlocked multipliers, eg. the i7 980x. It should still be possible to overclock an i7 950, but you'd have to do it through changing the BCLK values instead of the multiplier. It's a pre-Sandy Bridge chip so BCLK overclocking should still be an option.
