I just made smoke come out of my brand new Crucial MX100 SSD.
I thought this power connector was a standard 6-pin PCIE plug, which leads to two SATA power connectors. Upon further inspection, there are only 5 pins inside of it.
What is this 5-pin for? Is this probably what caused my SSD to short?
In the future, can I use a 6-pin PCIE to SATA power connector?
