Did your Printer Driver go away? Do you get Error 0x00000057 when you try to reinstall the drivers?

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate on an HP i7 laptop with 12 GB of RAM. I "lost" my HP Artisan 810 All-In-One printer capabilities. After 4 days of trying to reinstall the driver package, consulting with HP, and asking 3rd party support, I discovered the cure for the 0x00000057 error!
First, make sure Microsoft let you be in the Administrators group. (I was shocked to discover I was only a "User"!) Go into Manage/Local and Group/Users and make sure you are an "Administrator".
Open Windows/System 32/ and check the properties for DriverStore folder. I found mine had NO permissions. Add yourself as Administrator. (Ignore the "OMG!!" error messages.) Save and reboot.
Try to reinstall the printer driver. It should proceed without incident. Yay!
Or, you can contact Microsoft and pay them $259 to do basically the same thing.
