Can somebody help me with this:

I have the stock i7 3770 cooler installed. I'm running HWmonitor and it shows that my package temperature is around 55-57 degree Celsius (Max 82 degree Celsius) and CPU temperature is at 47 degree Celsius (Max 48 degree Celsius). Both of these temps are while I'm using chrome and browsing stuff.
What is the difference between package temperature and CPU temperature? Which one should I believe to be correct?

Thank you people! 😀

Solution
CPU Temperature is the temp of the socket, the package temperature is the core temperatures so you should pay attention to the package temperatures.
