Difference Between Daytona USA 2 Power Edition US and Japanese Version


Anyone know the differnce between the japanse and US versions.

Is it just the rom sets?

Do they both use the same system 3 sega board?

Want needs to be done to convert Japanese version to US version. Just ROM
swap?

If so anyone know where to get a set of US power edition ROMS?

No actual game difference, apart from text in Japanese.

The rom sets are identical, the roms contain information for the following
regions Export, Japan, Korea, Australia and US.

I can convert Jap Daytona 2 PE to US, it is not a rom swap, it is a
modification.

Really? Hmm... Come to think of it the game I converted via ROMs was a
system 2 game... Or was it. What does Super GT run on?

SuperGT is Model 3, but that can be regioned change in the Game setting
menus, the other games like Rally 2, Daytona 2, Star Wars Trilogy and later
all need special region settings applied (no romswap will ever change the
region), the mainboard needs to be initialised to a region for that game.
