I'm confused between Panasonic's A410 series which is HD Ready, 1366x768 and Sony's R412 series which is WXGA,1366x768. Is there any difference between the two?
P.S- Which one of these brands is more reliable?

The difference between the two different series you are listing, since they are both advertising the same resolution would be, marketing terms used to describe them. Neither one is actually full HD.

I'm not going to make any claim as to which is more reliable. Everybody has anecdotal evidence for their opinions there, and I've hardly any statistical proof on those particular models so... Even if you are looking at a good brand name, even good brand names sell bottom rung models. Also, many different brands of electronic devices come out of the same factories in China, making supposed quality differences rather non-existent. How one treats their devices has a lot to do with reliability.

There could be significant picture quality difference. We need more information to give you a better recommendation. A quick search turned up that the Panasonic is using an IPS panel for the display, which should give you good output and a wide viewing angle. I didn't find as much for the Sony. If possible, go look at the units, or similar from the same manufacturers in person.
