difference between ips and 60 hz

i'm looking for a monitor i've found 2 monitors in my budget one it's 60hz the other one its ips but without speakers what is the difference between ips and 60hz?

IPS - is type on panel.■
60hz - is a refresh rate of that particular monitor.

IPS is a type of panel with really good colors
60hz is the refresh rate and a standard refresh rate for a lot of monitors.

You can not compare the two as one is the type of panel and the other is the refresh rate of the display. Ips can also be 60hz as it is just a refresh rate. You need check further specs of the monitors.

I have a similar monitor and I would say its great, it's got fantastic colours.

Almost all IPS are 60hz with some running higher.

It says under frequency, it's 60hz. I'd say go with the lg.

yes many many times better in viewing angles and colors.

2 different technologies again. That ips is led. That is the backlight. Unless you mean like oled which actually that would be better than ips. And you can't blanket saying all ips are better than tn. Good tn is just as good as those cheap ips. What is this even going to be used for?

Few and far in between TN panels can be just as good I agree.
